We travelled to San Sebastián to work directly with the Dhemen team in their own studio. The training was designed around their existing workflows, creative challenges, and specific interests, creating a focused learning environment where every session could be adapted to the team’s needs and level of experience.

Advanced Tools
The programme covered a broad range of generative AI tools, from accessible creative applications to more advanced systems and workflows. We explored tools such as ComfyUI, introducing the team to node-based workflows, greater control, and more flexible ways of integrating AI into industrial design processes.

Practical Work
Rather than focusing only on the capabilities of individual tools, the training focused on how they can be applied to real industrial design work. Through hands-on exercises and guided experimentation, the team explored how generative AI can support different stages of the process, from ideation and visual development to iteration, exploration, and communication.

Ongoing Learning
AI is evolving too quickly for training to be a one-time event. Following the initial programme, we established quarterly sessions with the Dhemen team to review the latest developments, tools, models, and workflows relevant to industrial design. These ongoing sessions help the team stay up to date and continuously identify new opportunities to integrate generative AI into their practice.
